Oh my gosh!!!! After 15 hours on one plane we finally reached Guangzhou. We then hopped onto another plane and headed for Beijing adding two and a half more hours. We are absolutely worn out from all this travel. Our flights have been really besides the last one into Beijing. If we weren't swervng from side to side we were bouncing up and down, not to mention we were the ONLY Americans on the plane of about 150!!!! We just arrived at the Peninsula HOtel in Beijing where we're goin to stay for 3 nights to see the The Great Wall and several things. We are 100% the minority here. Today in the airport I tried to ask for a cup of coffee in a to go cup. To make sure she understood a to-go cup I picked up the only thing on the table that was China to tell her I didin't want that kind of cup and it so happened to be a cigarette tray!!! You guessed it, she rings up a pack of cigarettes for me to buy!!! We finally go that straightened out. I'll post some pictures tomorrow, but tonight we're going to rest and be ready to go tomorrow!!! Our guide, Angela, met us at the airport and is just wonderful!!! THis whole entire process still seems so hard to believe!!! To our families: we're safe and sound and will call you tomorrow. We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raiana is so excited. She has me on constant watch for pictures of the trip and Miss Olivia. Be safe and we will be watching and waiting for the day that you get to bring Miss Olivia home to her family and all of her new friends in our classroom.

Steph, You are disgustingly photogenic! After all that time in flight with no sleep you should look zapped, like Ty. But as always you look delightful.
Ty, when I was a little boy I was told if I'd dig a hole straight down I'd come out in China. I really tried. Look around and see if you can find that hole for me.
