We were just able to pull up the bolg and read the comments you all have left. I started to cry when I read them. Thank you so much!!! Being this far away from home is exciting, but nerve racking at times because of the communication barrier. Okay.... to explain the first picture. We were at dinner one night and I ventured off to the restroom. When I arrived, this is what I encountered - the famous squatty potty!!! No paper no nothing, I just about DIED!!! Needless to say I decided I could wait for a little longer. The next picture is the acrobat show which was just incredible. This was at the Kung-Fu Theater. There we were, the only Americans in a theater of about 300 Chinese people!!! God has so blessed every part of our journey and just one of the blessings is pictured with me. This is Angela Shen who was our tour guid the entire time we were in Beijing. Angela is a Christian and her sweet spirit definitely shows!!! She was priceless to us the entire trip. The last pictures are the entrance to the Forbidden City where the Ming and Ting Dynasties lived. The lst picture is of a group of military soldiers who were praciting guard drills inside the city!!! I have more posts, but have to create a new one to hold more pictures.........

Hey Stephanie and Tyler,
It's cousin Connie Nix Harris writing from Pennsylvania, almost as far away from Alabama from China but not quite! I am so happy for you. Olivia is beautiful, and God has been so gracious to give her the wonderful parents that he had chosen for her before the beginning of time! You both look wonderful. Stephanie, you look so much like Pat it's unbelievable. It takes me back many years ago!!!!! We are praying for your safety, and we are so excited about this new adventure in your life. God bless you all. Love Connie
