Bless the Lord, Oh my soul!!!!!

I can't begin to describe to you the power of prayer we felt surrounding us today!!! There is none other who can take the heart of an abandoned precious little girl and hold it in His hands with the mere mention of a whisper of her name. As you can tell from the pictures today was a gift from the Lord. We were at the pool trying all of those crazy parent tactics we've always seen others doing. Tyler just kept flying a pink rubber duckie and hitting her in the stomach. I reached my hands toward her stomach to tickle her and she smiled. SHE smiled, Tyler gasped, and I cried. Then she later found her belly button and started to play patty cake as you can see in the pictures. I jumped up and just shouted Praise the Lord!!! The biggest lesson we learned today is how God is revealing things about our own personal lives through this baby. We refuse Him, we reject Him, we act ugly, we want our way and yet He still stands ready to love us despite our imperfections. That's exactly what we have to do. It sure hasn't been fun learning those things, but when you experience His hand, you know it is for your good!! We've got a long way to go, but we have had such a better day. Thank you all so much for praying and please continue. You might need to offer some special ones up for Tyler because a one year old and a thirty seven year old crying is a lot to deal with. We've both regained our appetites back a little and we are going to be okay!!! This is one of the hardest things we've ever done, but it's been worth it all every step of the way!!! We love you all and will post soon!!!

Stephanie and Tyler,
Why are we always in awe when God answers prayer? I prayed so earnestly last night that He would please give Olivia a calm spirit and let her know that her mother and daddy have nothing but love for her. When I saw the pictures this morning, I just cried!! Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus!!
She is so beautiful. Her smile is so precious!! Time is a wonderful thing when it comes to healing. When I am in time of desperation and need, I just say the name of Jesus, Jesus, over and over and my spirit is calmed. Stephanie, I cannot tell you how much your updates have meant to me. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Christian "daughter". I have always told you that you were like my other daughter and I mean that. I love you dearly and I love my new "granddaughter" also.
Tyler, you are such a good daddy.
I am so proud of you!!! Deborah

Stephanie and Tyler,
It is a rainy and dreary day here, but I am thrilled to see the sun is shinning down on you in China. We have a persistant God who never gives up on anyone. What joy you must be experiencing and it's only the beginning. I can already tell from the pictures that she will be in my gifted class!!! I can't wait to see her in person. Keep the pictures and journals coming. I look forward to them each day.
Love,
Catherine

Tyler and Stephanie,
We were excited to see the change in our sweet Olivia's face. You two have been patient and loving and it has surely paid off. As we continue to be faithful in our prayers we expect that God will honor them in yet, more tiny miracles from China. Keep the good work. We love you. Mom

What a BEAUTIFUL baby!! I can't tell you what it did to my heart when I pulled up the screen and saw those pictures. What you said about God being faithful even when we are unappreciative of His goodness is so true. I know it is hard for you to post every day, but please post as often as possible because every one here is constantly checking our computers for new news and pictures. We love you and miss you! oh i love the pictures! they are precious! PRAISE THE LORD!!! God will heal her heart piece by piece slowly and wholey- remember that. And cry when you need to Stephanie and laugh and scream and just watch! You know God hands us some miracles just on a silver platter and then there are those firey furnace miracles- the ones that you have to walk in the heat but you come out unburned. Remember you will walk out and there IS a 4th person standing in it with you!

Steph & Tyler,
Yeah!!!! I was so tickled to see Olivia's little smile (and her cute little tummy too). It will just keep getting better and better!!! We'll keep praying and I know that God will bless you each day. I have found that God uses our children to teach us SO much about His love for us, it was truly a revelation for me! You really will treasure these lessons and walk even closer with Him! I can't wait to see more and more pictures, Olivia is a real doll!
Blessings,
Joy

Steph & Tyler, What a beautiful baby girl. I also prayed today especially for Olivia to recognize the love you and Tyler have for her and that she would begin to trust you completely.

Next to Tyler she looks so little. But when she's poking her belly she has a little pudge on her legs!! HeeHee!! It is so good for us to see her smile. I can't imagine how elated you must be to see that sweet smile. We absolutely love seeing your posts when they come. I look forward to it everyday. So, when are you coming home?

On my computer the photos didn't show up right away so I read your post and cried. I love your analogy of Christ loving us even when we are not wanting any of it! Then I saw your photos and just laughed. Olivia is lovely! And that laugh! I can hear it all the way over here. That laughing photo even made Bryan, my 15 yo "I know everything" son laugh. She is precious!

Kiss that belly button for us all, if she'll let you.

continuing to pray for you all,
susan w.

You are truly blessed and it is because of the way in which you have let God lead your lives and you've testified to it over and over again. Stephanie, Tyler, and Olivia,

Praise our Lord! Praise His Name! This morning was the first time I have viewed this site. When the site first logged on...... I scrolled down and Olivia's beautiful, sweet face was the first thing I saw. I couldn't even read anything for the tears. I left immediately and went and got Grace and just held her and hugged her. Praise God for His soverignty, power, love, and PERFECT TIMING! If I stop and think how God PLANNED and set in motion before the foundation of the world, Jeff and I being chosen for Grace and you and Tyler being chosen for Olivia..... well, there are no words in our language to describe the power and might in His plan. Jeff and I are rejoicing with you three! I can't wait to hold Olivia. Stephanie, isn't being a mommy THE MOST AMAZING GIFT! Just wait... it gets sweeter and sweeter every day!!!
Please know we are praying for you!
Love, Carla G.
