Sights of Beijing

This place is incredibly HUGE!!!! We spent today walking around Beijing and seeing the sights on our own. Beijing can be described in two words: Spicy-sewage smell. At times it almost takes your breath away, in a bad way. There are about 16,000,000 people in this city alone. We are definitely the tourist suckers who fall for all the "come see my stuff" lines. THe only things we heard today..."Hey lady, one dolla, one dolla"!!! We thought we were going to be much more adventuresom with the food, but the smell ruins it. So, we walked into KFC hoping to get something close to normal, but when we didn't recognize any of the fish items or chicken parts, we headed for McDonalds. There we had to point our way through the menu and convince the lady we did not want any "greenbean pie"!!!!!! We're already missing food from home!!!!
